 "Little Women" is this weekend. The shows are February 24, 25 @ 7 and the 26 @ 2. Tickets are $14, you can reserve them in Mr. Smiths office or call 734-850-6131. There are over 40 talented Bedford students in the show and it would be great to have our peers come support them.

SENIORS
MCCC is offering a free scholarship workshop on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 4-6 on campus at the Career Tech Center to help you complete the Foundation at MCCC's application.  There is over $250,000 available. Get your FREE MONEY!!

SCHOLARSHIPS
Seniors going to Monroe County Community College:  There many scholarships available.  Apply before March 1.  Check the scholarship website for details.


The Toledo Academy of Beauty is offering up to $3,000 scholarship. Fill out your application online before March 11.  Details are on the scholarship website.

HOCKEY
The final game of the regular season for our Mule ice hockey team is Saturday evening at the Toledo Ice House.  Face off for our Senior Night game is at 6:45 pm versus New Boston Huron.  All Bedford students will be admitted free of charge with Student ID.

TRACK
Attention, anyone interested in running track this spring!
Track starts on Monday, March 13th.  Everyone is welcome to participate. Boys who are interested in track and who are not currently in a sport can begin pre-season track conditioning everyday after school, starting now. Just meet Coach Scheffer in room G-3 after school. Conditioning will last until 4PM. If you can't make conditioning, we will see you on Monday, March 13th.

Techno Dance is March 4th from 7-10:00 PM. Tickets will be on sale starting Monday Feb 27th through Friday March 3rd
 during all lunches. Ticket cost is $6 a single and $10 a couple. There will be a photo booth live there so you can take lots of pictures!!

All girls interested in trying out for the softball program, conditioning begins Monday, February 27th from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the new gym. Please make every effort to be there.

NEW CLUB.....BETTER BEDFORD
Had enough of the negativity? Looking to make a positive difference in our school and our community? This past summer, a group of recent grads, current students, teachers, and counselors put together a program to provide the foundation for improving Bedford High School. Believers in a Better Bedford is now an approved club, and we need your help. We will be providing activities once a week for every homeroom, and we need volunteers from each homeroom to run these activities. The only qualification is a desire to make a positive difference in our school. If you are interested in helping with this program, contact Mr. Earl in room G4 or email him at scott.earl@mybedford.us. The program will begin the second week of second semester. 


BARRAGE
Barrage 8 will be visiting and performing at the Bedford High School Auditorium on Tuesday, February 28th at 7pm. This program is presented by and features the students in the Bedford Junior and Senior High Orchestra programs. Tickets are available: $15 for adults and $10 for students.  Come and listen to our wonderful Orchestras!

Segment II class - check with Community Ed for those who have been driving three months on the level I license by the start date of the next class.

BOOK CLUB
If you are interested in joining the new BHS Book Club please come to the conference room in the Media Center for a brief meeting on Wednesday, February 22 @ 2:30pm.  Teachers and students are all welcome.

If you cannot make it to the meeting, please let Mrs. Johnston in the media center know. We will be starting with the titles for Monroe County's one book, one community.

HOCKEY
The Kicking Mule hockey team faces Airport High School tomorrow (Saturday) at the Toledo Ice House.  Game time is 6:30 pm.  This is our next to last home game for the season.  All Bedford students will be admitted free of charge with student ID.

SWIM
Over the weekend, Bedford competed at EMU in the 2017 MISCA meet. The swimmers and divers must qualify for the meet. Athletes from all over the state show up for the big PRE-State competition. 

Bedford's Medley Relay (Cavins, Lingle, Scheffer, Schreder) finished 5th over all and was the highest placed D2 relay team at the meet. This relay also set a new school record by almost 2 seconds. with a 3:38.15

The 400 Freestyle relay of (Scheffer, Cavins, Smith, and Lingle) finished 7th over all and was also the top D2 finisher. This relay was just shy of the record set at the end of last season. It is definitely in reach.

Senior Kevin Lingle- Finished 5th and set a new Personal and School record in the 200 free with a 1:44.. He also finished 14th in the 100 Breaststroke which also set  a new school record of 1:00
Logan Cavins finished 41st in the 200 free and 25th in the 500 free.
Noah Scheffer finished 43rd in the 50 free and 26th in the 100 free which was a Personal best and state qualifying time.  (49.62)
Kyler Schreder finished 47th in the 100 free and 23rd in the 100 Breaststroke. Both were PRs for Kyler  and the Breaststroke was his first State qualifying time for him.(1:01.9)

DJ Asselin- Swam two personal bests and just missed state cuts in the 200 free (43rd) and 500 free ((33rd)

The 200 Free relay  of Asselin, Smith, Santiago, and Schreder finished 30th, but were the 8th fastest D2 school with a 2 second drop. 

Logan Santiago competed in his first MISCA dive competiton on Friday. He was met with some tough competiton, but persevered to finish 31st. 


Bedford is looking to Qualfiy 7 individuals for states this season. We have 5 so far and two that look very promising.
